LNG 111 ders içeriği
This course introduces the basic knowledge of Spanish. It aims not only to enable students to use the acquired grammatical patterns but also to improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills. The course is geared to A1.1 and to a part of A1.2 of the A1 level of CEFR.
Spanish I course designed to improve basic skills (speaking, reading, writing, and listening) at a beginner A1 level according to CEFR standards.
Haftalık konular (14 hafta)
- UNIT 1: "IN SPANISH" Giving personal information and asking names, telephone numbers and e-mails. Study of simple present tense to speak in Spanish in class. Use of necessary words to study with the book given. Learning the alphabet, nouns and articles: Gender, number and verbs SER and LLamarse.
- UNIT 1: Reading the dialogue, conjugation of new verbs and explaining the content of the dialogue. Reading numbers from 0 to ten. Learning names of places, countries, cities and nationalities of some countries.
- UNIT 2: ”MUCHO GUSTO” Greetings and introducing yourself. Exchanging some personal information. Talking about the languages we speak as mother tongue. Talking about jobs.
- UNIT 2: Introducing and identifying someone. Talking about marital status and professions. Reading the dialogue, conjugation of the new verbs and explaining the content of the dialogue. Definite and indefinite articles. Verbs: to be, to work, to speak, to cal. Talking about hobbies.
- UNIT 3: "PARTY WITH MY FAMILY" Exchanging personal information. Talking about families and family parties. Describing the physical appearance and character of people. Talking about age of people. Telling Time.
- UNIT 3: Learning months and holidays. Reading the dialogue, conjugation of new verbs and explaining the content of the dialogue. Possessive adjectives. Physical description and character. Quantifiers. Presentation.
- UNIT 4: “GOOD WEEKEND” Talking about leisure and free time habits. Comparison of tastes and preferences about cultural activities, sports, etc.
- UNIT 4: Adverbs of frequency. Verbs gustar y encantar. Reading the dialogue, conjugation of the new verbs and explaining the content of the dialogue. Making offers. Talking about free time activities. Irregular Verbs.
- UNIT 5: “CALLE MAYOR” Describing the neighborhood, public places and public services. Learning the verbs there be, have and to be.
- UNIT 5: Making offers an making an appointment. Asking and telling the time. Thanking and apologizing. Reading the dialogue, conjugation of new verbs and explaining the content of the dialogue.
- UNIT 5: Giving address and talking about the environment with new verbs.
- UNIT 5: Adjectives to describe a city. Quantifiers: very, a lot , / a little. Adverbs . Use of there is/there are and verb to be.
- UNIT 6: “THE MENU OF THE DAY” Talking about eating habits. Ordering food and drinks at a restaurant. Reading the menu and order. Reading the dialogue, conjugation of new verbs and explaining the content of the dialogue. Making offers.
- UNIT 6: Eating habits in Spain. Activities: Use of Comparatives. Obligations = have to + Infinitive. Meals, foods and Drinks.

In order to qualify to take the final exam, the students are supposed to attend at least 80% of all the lectures and must take at least 40 points in term assignments. (Midterm, Homeworks, Listening Exam, Speaking, Quizzes, Presentation etc...)
