CI 605 ders içeriği
The course gives an introduction to the logic of social scientific inquiry and exposure to the methodology, techniques and ethics of research. Participants will focus on how to formulate research problems, collect and analyze data, and present findings, considering various research designs. The use of a theoretical framework in conducting research in educational settings will be emphasized.

- Introduction to research methods in education: The origin of research Additional Information: Overview of the course and expectations from the students will be explained. The nature of inquiry will specifically focused on.
- Historical research, Surveys, Additional Information: Students will find articles done on historical and survey research. They will brief about the articles found to others in the class. Discussion of the methods and their practical use will be done.
- Experimental research, Action research Additional Information: Students will find articles done on Experimental and Action research. They will brief about the articles found to others in the class. Discussion of the methods and their practical use will be done.
- Mixed method research Ex post facto research Additional Information: Students will find articles done on Mixed method research and Ex post facto research. A discussion will take place to evaluate theory and practice in using the methods. Also, they will brief about the articles found to others in the class.
- Case study Ethnographic research Additional Information: Students will find articles done on case study and ethnographic research. They will brief about the articles found to others in the class. Discussion of the methods and their practical use will be done.
